I’m building both, I’m pretty sure I have most of the 601 - I need help with the 602. I have most of a 602 but
- selector
- upper receiver/barrel

On 601 - need mag catch, possibly real straight cut mag button

If I had an upper and a front sight I can make a barrel, and if I had a raw NDS upper I could make the upper. I can’t handle small part reproductions (just fyi before someone points me to JT)

Were all 601 mag catches flat on the face vs dimpled?

Were any 602 floating around with non directional marked uppers?

Were the 602 selectors holes larger than 601?

Where does the dimpled rear sight screw come in to play?

Were 601 Sears different? I would need a correct 601 sear.

Glad we’re sharing info around here vs hoarding.

As can be seen in the 601 Ton O' Fun photo thread, there were a variety of mag catches used on those rifles. Of those, the one I like best (and am going to attempt to repro for my own use) is the flat catch with the circular groove; Anderson does make a flat mag catch, which is what i'm going to use (whenever I get off my ass and get to work, anyway).

I do like the looks of that one more than the dimpled version, and as I'm not trying for 100% authentic clone for my builds, then the stuff I like is the proper choice.

- real type C stock vs gunbroker type C (I’m sure some of y’all know what I mean)  - got it
- 601 Upper as a stand in

So all I need is a cast FSB it looks like.

It’s the delft scope that was optional for 601 w/Factory style rings.

@techno_000 Did you find this yet?  I posted earlier this year about two FSB's I bought and I think the Colt one was ID'ed as an early one.
