Finally got my tax stamp back for my @NodakSpud NDS-1815.

So I was finally able to put my stock prototype on my shorty upper.

Hopefully a range visit soon will tell me if the handgaurd prototype will withstand the heat.

Hopefully this is retro enough for you guys, I think it is.

I'm lovin it!

Is the stock 3D printed? It looks really good.

161 days but I always get caught in the FBI background check black hole. About normal for my E-File Form 1's.

Yes but that one turned out horrible so it got sanding, and bondo, and more sanding, and painting.

Still doesn't look that great if you ask me but it proves the concept.

I have another version printed in PETG that will likely be what I end up putting on my site.

I have two versions of the hand guard to test at the range. PETG and Prusament PC Blend.

The PC Blend is what is in these pics. Straight off the printer with no post processing.

Back in 1978, I found a British printed book that featured three guns in it. One was the AR18S. I sent it to my junior high school best friend who had just moved away to Michigan due to his parents' divorce and I never saw or heard from him again. That's what the conical flash hider reminds me of. His dad had a beautiful US&S 1911A1 that he brought back from the Korean War. I miss those days.

This is the picture from the Small Arms Review article "Lost Armalites" that I printed out and hung in my shop for inspiration oh so many years ago.

One of my readers sent me a scope to try out. I think it is a perfect fit for this fun little SBR.

It is a knock off Colt scope and an ACOG mount.

He pushed the stud out, drilled an extra hole and installed two screws to hold them together.
