Can't go wrong with either, they're very similar. I prefer the Raptor-SD personally, the polymer latch makes it easier to handle in the cold.

Both are comparable in price but I feel the BCM 4x4 has a more streamlined profile.

I like them both the newer BCM I'm digging. Want to try a Giessele but I like having ambi CHs.

I have multiple raptors and 2 geissele handles, I prefer the raptor still.

I have the old style BCM Mod 4, the new style BCM Mod 4, and the Raptor. They're all great but I prefer the Raptor over the new style Mod 4. The old style Mod 4 and Raptor are a tie for me, though maybe the Raptor has a slight edge.

I have the Radian Raptor on all my DD rifles and love it. My best friend has a BCM Ambi Mod 4 on his AR15 and loves it. I based my decision on research I've done, combined with the input from people like Garand Thumb and other "gun guys," on YouTube I watch. But in the end, it really will come down to personal preference.

I think I liked the old BCM over the Geissele, but the G is still on my rifle because I'm trying to give it a fair shake. Had the BCM for years so it may just be more familiar. Tried a Raptor back when they were branded by Rainier and didn't really like it.

I did alot of research and went with BCM. Never tried the raptor but I'm very fond of the new BCM version. Do some research and check out reviews if you can't check them out in person prior to ordering. Then pick one. Or order both ??

I prefer the raptor, but it is all personal preference. Buy both, and sell the one you don't like on the EE.

I have two rifles for work; one has a Raptor, one has an A44. I like the Raptor a bit more; the A44 seems to jab me in the chest a bit more sharply, the Raptor is a bit less pointy on the outer edge.
Performance wise, each work equally well, and have not experienced malfunctions with either CH. Aesthetically, I think I like the Raptor more. But aesthetics don't have a damn thing to do with how the gun functions. |
