Never ordered from them, but apparently they are ok:

Has anyone compared the RT6 to the MTAC with ballistic reticle?

I got my RT6 a week or so ago but been busy and barely had much time to look at it but so far I'm very pleased. I'm trying to decide if I should sell my Viper PST 1-4's to get more RT6 or not

I got the combo with Fastfire III and mount from Vergona Outdoors for $440 delivered.
Popped the Fastfire on my S&W Core, don't need it on the rifle.
Since I needed the FF anyway, and they go for about 2-250, it made more sense.
So I got the scope and mount for about $200/250 depending upon how you look at it.

Can't wait to shoot with it, playing around, it seems like it's gonna be perfect for me.
The only negative I see is the weight, but that's the nature of the beast.

I have the RT-6, an MTAC 1-4 with Ballisitc AR reticle (same reticle and the RT-6), An MTAC 1-4 the Ballistic CQ reticle and an AR536 with Ballistic CQ.
The Ballistic AR reticle is considerable better for more precision work and is my preferred reticle of the two styles.
The Ballistic CQ reticle is fine for a lot of shooting but is "bulky" by comparison. It is fine for defensive type shooting but the center dot is simply a little large for precision work like simply trying to get a tight pattern at 100+ yrds.
Another thing is comparing my 1-4 and 1-6 with the AR reticle while the reticle is the same it is larger in the 1-6 than the 1-4.
The same goes for the CQ reticle in the 1-4 with the CQ reticle and the fixed 5x in the AR536. The 563 reticle is larger.

I'll gladly take any of them over irons or red dots due to my getting worse by the year vision.

I like the RT6 reticle.  It is a good compromise.  My eyes aren't getting any younger either.

The turrets aren’t the greatest, but once it is zeroed you are done with them. I wish the BDC was more accurate. The hash marks are off by about 50 yds with my rifle and ammo.

Once you know where the hashes hit you just you just adjust your yardage per hash no?

Yea but if I want to know how many clicks to adjust between suppressed and unsuppressed I'm screwed.

I finally got this scope mounted in this ridiculous aero mount and I found a spec inside the glass

Kind of, but it would nice if the 300 yd mark was on at 300 instead holding between the 300 and 400 hash mark.

Strelok Pro will solve your issues and give you proper distances for the reticle

True, I have used it before and have been very happy with the data it gives you. I will run my data thru it and see what it comes up with.

I will do a little digging around and see if one of the other Burris reticle will suffice.  I thought I read that somewhere

All the data is stuff you enter, the more accurate you enter data, the more accurate the information back will be.

Each of my loads I chronoed 20 rds. threw out any extremely high/lows and averaged the rest. Then you need to enter weather/wind data. You also enter data on your barrel.

yep, understood.  I just don't have the reticle and was looking for rough data.  Maybe I won't be cheap and just buy Strelok Pro.  That is what I thought I had as I knew I paid for something, but I guess there is a regular and Pro version.  I use Applied Ballistics for long range stuff, but the reticle selection there is tiny.  Thanks!

Found the RT -6 reticle and loaded my info, it is off some. Need to find some time to hit the range and true my data, if it is as accurate as my other (5.56 and 6.5) data I should be pretty close.

At 100yds the difference for me suppressed/unsuppressed is 2”. I shot a few groups each way to figure it out. I guess I could have run them across the chron. then ran the data for each in strelok. I am good for wind.

They will pay for return shipping but you have to ask. and if they don't give you a prepaid label straight away they will tell you they forgot to attach it to the email, after you already paid out of pocket to ship it to them. Ask me how I know. I'm done with Burris.

At least you got 100 rounds through it before you noticed something was wrong. I only got mine in the mount . And at least you didn't buy 4 of them

There isn't an optics brand in existence that doesn't have problem child scopes... Read enough posts on various forums and you'll see plenty of folks dissatisfied with S&B, March, Hensoldt, Zeiss -- you name it.

I've sent in several Nightforce and Trijicon scopes on my dime for warranty repairs. It's just part of the deal with owning and operating optics that are subject to recoil.

Sounds like a fluke, I bought a new XTR for my 3 gun rifle. Was sighting it in and one the 5th shot it broke. This was on a Monday afternoon and was shooting a match on Saturday. Called Burris just before 5 PM my time. They next day shipped me a scope I got Tuesday and put the return label in the box. I offered a credit card and they said no need. You can not beat that for service.
