Broke the cheap pos install tool while installing. Just noticed the upper I put the nut on doesn't have a port door spring.
Now I get to redo. I can't find the tool for sale anywhere. I tried a castle nut wrench but was too big. Unless my tool sucks.

Remove the C-clip and pull the hinge pin from aft.

That right there. Done it a bazillion times on GI guns. It takes a steady hand and a keen eye, but it's how it's done when repairing port door components.
