Does anyone know how mags like the stainless duramags are "blackened "? Did a quick search, and didn't come up with an obvious answer, so I thought I'd see if anyone here might know.

I don't know how the manufacturers do it but I cerakote them in graphite black all the time.

Caswell is selling a chemsitry called Caswell 370 that does blackening of stainless steel.
