Get a hold of Right to Bear Arms and see what they may be able to do for you, I have used a lot of their 80% lowers and always been happy with them.

DS Arms lowers are some of the best forged 80% lowers I've ever seen. They are a step above the rest.
I've been shying away from the raw lowers.
To me, it's worth the extra $10 or $20 for the anodized ones but to each their own.

Also- you can scroll through this sticky thread of 80% lowers and check prices.

I've cut a few and they were fine. Anodizing was good, everything was in spec and functioned.
I'm not going to say "all 7075 80% lowers are created equal" but that's my experience for the most part.
I've used:

Tactical Machining
Thunder Tactical
DS Arms (exceptional quality)
Daytona Tactical
80% Arms (billet only, exceptional quality)
AR Stoner
and a few others I don't remember.

'had an equal experience with all of them when it came to cutting and functioning.

I’m looking at the same jig, never owned a 80% lower but it looks very interesting.

Having done numerous small and large frame lowers with a mini mill and applicable jig, the 5D is a whole other realm of simplicity.  I recommend doing at least one cut (if not two) in between each hash mark (you'll understand when you get it) for depth.  It makes it a tiny bit more time-consuming, but not a lot, and it's ultimately going to preserve your end mill a lot better and reduce the risk of digging in or worse.

It's messy though.  Have a shop vac handy.

Yes, I have done five personally. (Daytona Tactical)  Probably another 20 by friends that have ordered.  I got my first batch about 4 years ago, they were being made by a company called A O precision.  Not to be confused with aero precision. AO has a history of doing contract work for Daniel Defense and a couple other companies at the time.  If they are still made by AO, buy without hesitation.

Brownells have Matrix Arms lowers. For $40 or so. Very nice quality. I have done 2 so far with my 5D jig.
