What is the thread size on yours? My Bear Creek Arsenal AR15 ruskie has weird threading that makes it impossible to get a 3rd party muzzle brake.

I have a franklin armory hbar which is a fantastic barrel, accurate, balances nicely despite it's weight, stays accurate when hot etc however, has weird threading.  I bought a cheap brake off of ebay and could not be happier.  I'll post a link.  outstanding brake!

1/2-36...top left is the one I bought and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER

I bought mine 2-3 years ago and searched back then. I'm not sure if they changed the threading on their guns/barrels since then so I'll need to go back and check my rifle. I know I couldn't find jack back then without special ordering. Heck, maybe I goofedd and got the wrong thread size originally?

all of my AR-15 7.62x39 barrels have been threaded 5/8-24.  Faxon, Anderson, KAK, PSA, Midway AR-Stoner, Bear Creek Arsenal.  Every one of them.  5/8-24 is convenient because it's the same standard as what's used for 308 AR-10.  Lots to choose from.

I've used PA M4-72, LANTAC Dragon, VG6 Epsilon, VG6 Gamma.  For most effective, I'd have to go with what TTAG says, the PA M4-72.

Anyone have info on the VooDoo Jet Comp? Have a lead on a good deal, wonder if its worth jumping on?

IMHO, the APA Bastard line are the best brakes you can get if you're looking for the best recoil management solution. They scored very well in the PRB muzzle break test as well. These are available for everything from a .22 to .50 cal too. The Gen2 series are made to swap on and off easily/quickly, Gen1 is more of a gunsmith option for permanent installations.
