Not sure if this has been posted but just saw it. Found it interesting. Break free CLP for the win! Was never a fan of slip 2000

I've been unimpressed with Ballistol and this reinforced that unimpression.

Smells great tho.

Google the Canadian cold weather test of some 25 (?) years ago.  it's excellent.  i've used g96 more or less since.  it was one of the sterling performers.  excellent at cold temps, lubricity and corrosion protection.  g96 smells great, too.

Been using Break free for years. My second choice has been Clenzoil products for a while now. Both are good.

Oh, yes!!

Here's that cold weather test. Note also the test measuring actual actual. A number of common lubes compared.  G96 one of the top performers.

It's under FAQ's on the G96 site.

Compare lubes: Not just cold weather but calculated ABRASION, too!

27 years is one hell of a track record.

Good stuff, for sure.

Yes, and there are a few of those others that look good, too and appear to still be around.  Assuming the recipe is still the same.

Toxicity is more important to me than any test, especially shooting suppressed.

I hear this a lot but I really once you pull that trigger whatever non toxic CLP that’s in there will be mixed with lead, copper, powder residue, and whatever else and is no longer non toxic so it doesn’t matter.

Ofcourse you cant eliminate it completely.   Any reduction is a plus. It's also safer to handle and apply.
