Piston looks similar to a Superlative Arms.

Do they still have undocumented King Kong assembling their uppers?

Did you drink your breakfast this morning?

I've used some of their stuff and I'm not really impressed with overall quality.
It's probably fine for most but they've had too many lemons in recent memory for me to sing their praises.
FYI, not a "brand boy", I've never even bought a complete AR in my life, and only a couple complete uppers.

-Whoever kongs on their barrel nuts has no concept of torque specs
-They were raided by ICE for using undocumented labor
-Their barrels are a crap shoot. Some are decent, some are garbage.

First thing I would do is check the barrel. The chamber, bore, headspacing, etc. I had to send 2 out of 3 barrels back to them. Totally sucked as one was a build for my father. They did take the barrels back, but I went with other brands and no problems since.

Where did i say i got a bad upper?
I don't know why i bother asking for more incoherent rambling...

The last upper i got from them was on sale. I bought it for parts.
The barrel was unlined, and the advertised "fluting" was almost non-existent.
The gas block was cast and the surface was porous.
The barrel nut took a torch and breaker bar to remove.

As planned, I tore it down for the side charging parts for a hunting build for my dad.
Those parts worked fine with a Faxon 350L barrel and ALG handguard.
I threw the BCA handguard and barrel in the spare parts bin.

My last purchase was late last year.
Nobody's bashing.  I got what i expected for what i paid.
Nobody's got a dilemma to vent about.

They are a bottom tier supplier with bottom tier pricing.
They do have a good return policy because if they didn't they would quickly become the next Vulcan/Hesse/Blackthorn.

It is what it is.  Don't get offended by the truth about your pet brand.

Bro with that kind of spelling and grammar I cannot even take you seriously.

I stand by my comment. BCA is garbage. If you don't like that or it hurts your feels, sorry, not sorry. Go to the troubleshooting section of this forum and you'll see that 90% of the people that have issues, are people who are troubleshooting BCA parts.

Bad barrel? 99.9% chance it came from Faxon, BA, or BCA.

So I'll buy something from a quality manufacturer. If you want to buy BCA, knock yourself out. Free country and all that.

I think it's important when trying to sway people to your position to be sure to immediately go to insults and accusations.  I find that in general, people accept that their initial hesitance is often swayed by challenging their skills and implying that I am a highly skilled "operator" level god on the range.  Be sure to follow up with more wild accusations and insults if questions.  At this point, the hesitance is generally abated and the individual will admit their error.  You may even get that person who is opposed to your favorite product to stop what they're doing and proceed immediately to the webstore of their choice and place an order out of shear feeling of inadequacy.  If not, be sure to ramp up the insults to really seal the deal.  /sarcasm

Looks like they mated a Superlative block and piston to an Adams Arms BCG.  Is it just me or does the gas block look aluminum?  Maybe it's camera/reflection.

looks steel to me  6 set screws and a pin

You're missing the point. Again.
Gas block material has nothing to do with a milled carrier.
They are doing nothing new, they're just doing it cheaper.

I'm not, you get what you pay for.
Why are you white-knighting for them with their well-documented track record?

I'm probably a bad person but when I can't decipher the incoherent babble of a post without reading through it 3 times I tend to just ignore it and move on.  There's just no excuse for it with the spelling and grammar checking of modern browsers.

My friend bought a BCA rifle and he hasn't been blown up yet.  That's all of the experience I have with them.

Obvious shill is shilling hard today.....

I won't buy anymore BCA products based on your ass monkey behavior. I hope the free hat was worth it.

Seriously Its fucking stupid as a company to not only shill on this forum, but you actually attack people who are criticizing them, and their products.

Aren't you supposed to be trying to kiss our asses and sell us on your product? Maybe give us technical info about it? You know like sell is on it dude.

Ogive refers specifically to the shape of the projectile, does it not?

Where exactly is the ogive located on an upper?

If one is referring to leade, throat, or seating depth, wouldn't it be better to use those terms instead?

What my experience with a BCA DI upper has been . Just for fun I bought ,because im bored and  infected with BRD a BCA 16 inch side charge free float upper in 7.62x 39 for $215.99 landed. I put together a Anderson arms $39.99 lower with  some old parts I had laying around and a old 4.5 #POF .308 trigger. I used this trigger knowing I would be feeding it hard primer steel cased ammo.  I slapped a $115.00 Romeo red dot on it . It shoots better than I thought it would ,or should at that price. Time will tell if it will hold up and continue to function reliably .It holds 2.5 to 3 inch groups at 100 yards with Wolf military classic ammo, a better shooter with younger eyes might be able todo better . The fit and finish was pretty good and I have no complaints with it . Bottom line is , it's like a hamburger not a filet mignon .It is a bargain basement rifle that works ( at least mine did ) ,and if it continues to run good I think im happy with it for the money  . YMMV , I am not endorsing it or bashing it .It ain't no beauty ,but it's  alright.   FWIW I have many high quality AR's in 5.56,.308 , 300BO and im building a 6mm ARC. So far it's a cheap date with a happy ending .

I bought one of BCAs phosphate barrels once, it was starting to rust coming out if the box and I don't live more than 2 days UPS ground from them. Not a great sign of quality since I have DPMS barrels much older that are not rusting at all. That said it shot fine, no better or worse than any other cheaper barrel I own.
