Looking at the BCM 20” Sam-R barrel in Ionbond black. Is the Ionbond just their name for nitride, and is it also in the chamber and bore? Or is it just on the external or the barrel?  I’ve tried searching around, but haven’t been able to figure it out. I’m looking for a nitrided 20” heavy barrel.

Not suprising, PVD/DLC etc. is not durable enough as a bore coating. Not familiar with the barrel in question but the "ionbond" is likely just to blacken the exterior of a stainless barrel.
