I won this rifle off of the buds auction the other day.  It finally came and I am tearing it down.   I noticed a few interesting parts that seem either out of normal or maybe just the way it used to be.

Not sure on who/what some of these parts are.

enjoy

That is a Sendra complete lower receiver, they had their own way of doing things and used their own parts different from USGI and other manufacturers of the time, which on the rifle you purchased appear to be correct for an original Sendra.

Very cool! I dig Sendra rifles, even the purple anodized ones.

The lower is a Sendra Rock Island marked.  Pretty cool by itself.

Yep, that's one of Jerry Drasen's guns, alright.  Haven't seen one in a long time.  Most have been erector set victims with parts swapped out.  His handguards were cheap plastic and tended to get soft when firing a lot.....  Some of his bolt carriers, though, were Colt's or Jahn's (C or J) with the letter ground out with a divot.

I pulled it all apart and boxed it.   I will mess with it again when I get back from Iraq.
