Still not a bad price.. it's only $.50 more a box. Hopefully that stays the final price.

I loaded up with more so I have some to practice with and use at Heartland next year.

It seems to be a little more accurate in both my rifle than the X-Tac 77g

Was going to buy 2k at $.55/rnd a few days ago, but didn’t have enough in stock, then $.57/rnd was ok when I was waiting for more stock, but not buying at $.60/rnd. They’re just raising the price based on the sudden spike of the Winchester news/scare on M193/M855. $.05/rnd raise in 4 days is ridiculous.

Back out of stock now a few minutes after the email.

And .308 150gr FMJ price has gone up $.08 since 1.5 weeks ago.

Nah. We’ll just raise the price and not offer 1,000 round lot# option…

If they keep going out of stock, it means the price increase isn't ridiculous.

In 2020-2021 people were flush in stimulus, ppp loans, cash out refi and heloc dollars.  None of that applies now and credit card debt is at an all time high.

Still not a bad deal at 0.60rd. But I agree.

In the past I’ve seen their stock availability going in and out like that daily on newly released firearms as well (the spiker comes to mind).

@JAG05 is there a place to get 77g OTM for a cheaper price?

After I saw the rokslide post that showed moser and bear taken by a 223, I was sold on them as my hunting round

Quick video I did.  Nothing terribly scientific but just one person's review.  Not Molon lvl of testing.
Still think the ammo is a hell of a good deal but feel like if PSA could refine a few things like how the rounds are shipped in the box and possibly try to control some of the inconsistencies in the loads.

Mine trued was 10% less than posted at .325.

Trued the BC out to 750 and it tracked in a 18" Crane chamber Mk12Mod1.

My only question for this round after the testing I've done is has anyone/can anyone do a ballistics test of the AAC OTM round and compare it to 77g Razorcore and MK262Mod1 'brown box'.

If the price stays around .60 and it shoots like it does for me, this is a clear replacement for IMI and chasing down 262 as long as the terminal ballistics aren't the weak link.

Who do we need to send a few boxes to?

Are people seeing a clear reason to pay 18¢/rd more for the AAC SMK over the AAC OTM?

the AAC OTM is good enough to go 5 for 5 on an IPSC at 1013 with a 16" Super Duty. That's...good enough for what I use the ammo for.

I'm still waiting to see terminal performance tests but where I live there isn't a reason to care much about the terminal performance of a 77 grain .223 bullet. Here either .223 is too small, 77 gr. is too heavy, or I'm using 55 gr. because I'm at distances where the velocity does all the work.

.362 and the velocity from my magnetospeed got me on for elevation at 1013. My windage was off by half a mil for my first couple of rounds but I've had wind calls be off by 2 mils at ~650 at that range, so thats well within the error of my ability to figure out the wind there (Bill's place is a great place to shoot. Frustrating, but fun)

I'm somewhat interested in Paul Harrel doing his meat target test with it but not enough to pay for it.

Wishing there was a similar thread about the 75 gr OTM, as that’s what I want to use for SD.  I bought some 77 gr of both flavors to try out.

Here is my thread, its in the archives now. Please remember the gel was shot to crap, remelted and reused so the results may not be 100% repeatable or accurate to the real world, its just a base line. @duck_hunt

Well, just ordered 1K to try out.  Figure at least one of my rifles should like it. At the very least it's only $150 more than a case of 193 so It won't hurt too bad if it ends up just being blasting ammo.

Is there anyone that does/could do an apples to apples side comparison on gel for the AAC OTM, Mk262 and even IMI 77g?

Really liking the OTM round and would never have thought it would stand up, but out of my Mk12Mod1 and ModH, they shoot just as well as IMI and brown box.

The only thing holding me back from basically switching 100% over, is the lack of terminal ballistic data.

I'm trying these out, but know this style of bullet isn't the best at expanding in soft targets, tho they are made like a varmint bullet the tip is the problem, so I'll be testing out removing the thin HP tip down to the lead slug inside, yes this will lower the B.C. some, but this is a test to see if they are still as accurate as the original and how much better will it expand (water jugs is all I have)
11.5 inch 1/7 twist. 50 yards for now, would be best to test accuracy at a longer range but again it's all I have for now.
I have pics but no external means to link from here if someone wouldn't ming me sending them and they put them up.

I reseat them even at the cannelure (some at slightly different) measuring from base to cannelure and get that even on all, then trim down to 2.07 OAL, clean it up and chamfer the inside a bit. Looks mean lol. Should make for a better Home Defense and possibly out to 100 yards. We'll see.
