Looks good. Is that site legit? Never heard of them before.

None of my distributors even have them in stock yet. Ordering isn't even open at my distributors.

For what that's worth.

Grabbed one from EuroOptic. Sitting in an arisaka 35 mount next to a PA 5x. Looking to zero soon. Feels like a shorter AP micro with no battery.

I have one thats currently on a Glock 34.  I'm about to grab another 1-2 for long gun use.  So far I like it especially since it offers me an EoTech like reticle in an Aimpoint body

I've had mine a few days.  I haven't decided what to put it on that it won't look out of place.  It is tiny.

Nice!!

Man… thinking of picking one of these up for a 45 mount on a rifle.  Are these a 509 pattern mount?

It is frustrating how much Holosun innovates

They are, but the SCRS mount is actually significantly shorter than the 509T mount, leaving room in front and behind the optic where the dovetail is visible.   My aftermarket Canik 509T mount showed up and I put it on there briefly, but it just sits too high.  On a direct milled slide this might be a decent option for a pistol sight.

Works great with the 509 plate from Holosun

That sits so much lower than it did on my Canik that it isn't even funny.  I hate the Canik mounts, they are all too damned thick, and nothing can be done about it.

Seems weird to go with a pistol optic mounting footprint

The scrs glass seems a lot clearer than my 509t. When reptilla makes a 509t pattern rof top scope ring I will piggyback on my rifle. I really don't like having to use a plate for the rmr pattern.

I was going ask about that.  Definitely keep us posted on how it holds up.  It seems like it's format would make nice pistol RDS.

Does anyone know if this will fit on a ACRO mount? I read somewhere that it will just wanted to verify.

While I don't have access to this nor an acro mount, i can almost guarantee that it doesn't fit. Have you ever seen a 509t mounted on an acro mount?

I want to agree. But I’m curious if someone here has one and a acro mount they can try it on.

Here is what I saw in a Google search.

Is the window much smaller than an AEMS?

Thanks. Starting to see these optics coming in somewhere between “kind of big for a pistol, kind of small for a primary rifle”.

Feels exactly like an aimpoint micro which has been the standard AR rds for over a decade.

Window size is definitely more comparable to a Micro than the AEMS.

@medicman5000

Curious what offset and plate adapter did you use?

Found out the hard way that the C&H 509t-rmr adapter does not work with the SCRS ordered the factory Holosun adapter plate today.

I did not think they were pistol rated. Can you share a picture?

This is the tube sight, correct?

Well, since that was cleared up I'm definitely interested in your experience with it.

Innovation is cool, but EVERY single device and tool I've ever owned that has a "rechargeable battery" takes a total shit after just a number of years. Sure the solar panel 'may' function during daylight, but what about when the battery takes a shit, something goes bump in the night (like that never happens) and the solar "charging" Holosun doesn't illuminate? What about when you just pick it up at night and it won't work? Bad battery ... can it be replaced with a new battery?

Every GPS that I've ever owned with a rechargeable battery, the battery takes a shit before it's even old so they only work when they're plugged in. Phone batteries are shit after a number of years. Dewalt batteries take a shit after a number of years. Rechargeable batteries are the bottleneck that makes "solar charging" optics worthless LONG before any other optic.

Perhaps, until the battery takes a shit (won't hold a charge) and it won't function at all in the dark? Works in the daylight though? Day time is the right time when the battery takes a shit.

The HS510C is able to run completely without a CR2032 in it because of its internal capacitors.  I am unaware of anyone having a failure yet.
