Trying to find a new 13-15” free float and came across STNGR. Made in TX. They have some nice looking rails and just curious if anyone has any experience with them. Tempted to give them a shot. Thanks.

The price is right.  US made, and the most important part...you don't have to time the barrel nut.

I say do it.

No personal experience but I hear a lot of praise for being budget friendly handguards.

I've bought a couple over the  last couple years. They are good to go IMO.

I really like them on my Texas-themed gun. I'll use them again.

I have two of theirs, the HWK and VYPR.  Both are very nice quality and I like the steel nut, no timing to deal with.  I do prefer the VYPR though, lighter, clean look and no bump out on the bottom.

I've got a 10" VLCN and a 15" HWK I've been happy with, but bought both as blems for just a bit over $100.   At their current pricing, I'd probably drop a few more bucks and pick up a Midwest, which is what I did with my recent build.

Ironically, I used a MI on my last build. Thought about it again, but just wanted to try something different.

I also have a couple of guns/uppers with STNGR handguards. Most of my handguards are their blems, I have never found what the blem was on any of them. I just finished a 10.5 barrel with a 10” STNGR handguard for a suppressor host. One thing I really like is they have a nice QD sling mount machined in.

I like everything about them but I wish the two bolts that go through the bottom threaded into a steel insert instead of threading into aluminum.  It may not be necessary and may never be an issue but, to me at least, it seems a better idea.

I'm happy with the one I put on my truck gun.

Thanks again, guys. I went with the 15” VYPR. I’ll update when it arrives.
