Just curious why you're looking for 13.7". If it is only to fit the hand guard, frankly I would buy a hand guard after you find the barrel.
Personally I wouldn't cut down a barrel. |

I'd probably get something cut down, but that's because I would want midlength gas on a 13.7" and most manufacturers seem to think 5.56 gas lengths are SOP for 308 barrels. I actually had my intermediate has length cut to 14.5", but haven't gotten to shoot it yet.

Compass lake eng. will make a barrel to your spec's.

I think I'm shifting to a 14.5" barrel but still can't find anything in that length.
