How about you meet in the middle and buy a used/refurbished Vortex UH-1 Gen. 1. They’re a little harder to find nowadays, but if you look on the EE, r/gundeals, or aaoptics you’ll probably find one for around $300. I went that route and have been thoroughly impressed.
