Im assuming u mean the polymer one. Mine fits on my m4e1 just fine. I did smooth out the edge just a hair w a nail file for good measure.

Yes, the polymer ones fit fine with maybe a little shaping if needed. The aluminum ones do not fit the m4, have one and states on package it will not. Not sure about the m5.

Ive used the poly ones on the M4 and M5 without a problem.
Ive only used the aluminum cover on one M4 and it fit fine. I didnt have to alter it at all. I did add those little pads to help reduce noise and metal on metal contact when it opens. |

Fwiw, I have the poly cover on my m4e1 upper and an aero gen1 w/o forward assist and both of them need to be filed a bit as right now they only flip about half way down.
