How hot does this block get, I have a set of MBUS I was thinking about installing but being polymer I don't want to melt them. This rifle doesn't get shot that much.

Hot enough it could melt an mbus. You will want to use a metal front sight on that.

It is going to depend on the fire rate.  The best option is to put a metal buis on there. Why take any chances.

Thanks for the info, that's what I was thinking. Guess I'm going to be looking for a metal set that doesn't cost a fortune.
