Tomorrow I'm going to go shoot my G19x for the first time and am bringing my 10.5" 308 pistol with a brake that I built and still haven't shot. The max distance is 22 yards so I'm just function testing and getting the gas system dialed in. Think I will piss people off?

Helll I'd piss myself off shooting it.

But they'll get over it.

It’ll fit right in in the Florida indoor ranges I have visited.   Double ear pro is always proper there.

I have 2 PWS Mk111's one in 556 and one in 7.62x39 both with PWS brakes.  I shoot them indoor from time to time.  They get a good deal of attention.

Ha!  Awesome!  Doing a build like that right now with aero precision stuff and a kak barrel.  I'm going to have a spare CM upper for it, so it's not totally useless

Yeah I used a kak value line 10.5, got it during a sale for 120 something shipped. Didn't feel like spending a fortune on a 308 barrel that size for a blaster. Haha I'll bring ear plugs to wear under my muffs just in case.

IDK about pissing people off, but if someone is beside or behind you, if it has a concussion like a SiCo or Dead Air break, it will ring their bell, and that is just from my experiance with a 14.5 with those breaks.

We also almost always have a group of people that stop and gawk at it.

Any rifle on indoor ranges is rude.

Here's my 14.5" with brake shooting on an outdoor range. The can nailed to the pole in the background is 5 feet away and the blast is rattling it. You can also see how the concussion is rattling my iPhone (leaning against my range bag) that's recording 10 feet away.

The second video shows the concussion making the camera slide and fall over from 10 feet away - there's a round with bad primer in the string, it's not a rifle malf.

Add to what his video shows, that every time I have shot 308 indoors there is a decent fireball.

Awhile ago, my BCM brake would make a car alarm honk every time I shot.

Haven't been back to a public outdoor range since a dude got killed at that range, and others got shot at different ones.

I'm done with the public outdoor ranges. It's kinda nerve racking now. Not an enjoyable event anymore, too stressful.

Oh hell yeah. The fireball touches both sides of the lane dividers between shooters indoors.
If you have a comp/brake like a AAC Brakeout 1.0, you have  good chance of shattering overhead range lights.

Hmm maybe I'll just take the glock.

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor and a 458 SOCOM I need to function test at the indoor range and both have muzzle brakes.  This should be interesting.  I've only shot my 5.56 Rifles and my Pistols at the indoor range.

My opinion is that bringing a purposely obnoxious, cannon blast gun to an indoor range is just bad. A 308 that short with even a flash hider is going to knock some people out of their shoes.

I wouldn't shoot it unless the range was almost empty and I prepped everyone else. Of course you could just say "fuck 'em, I paid my money like the rest". It will certainly ruin my trip, and would probably turn new(pistol) shooters off going as frequently.

I recall taking my Mk18 to an indoor range, set up with a Dead Air brake, right before my Sandman cleared. It was absolutely obnoxiously loud. Every shot was like getting slapped in the face. I’d imagine something similar shooting .308 would be significantly worse.

I took my G19x and my girlfriend brought her G19 and AR15 I built her (first time shooting it). It ran like a raped ape.

Passed on the 308. Was next to a guy who had what looked like a 10.5" 556 with a flash can and that was bad being next to so I can't imagine a 308.

The range I belong to has a Boomer shoot every year for its anniversary. One time, for $10 a pop, you could fire a .50 bmg Barrett. It’s a 20 Lane, 25 yard range, I was at the far end from it and I wasn’t right for about two days after that. The concussion was unbelievable in that closed space. I am pretty sure somebody had on RPD in there as well.
