10.5 inch AR fires, cases getting stuck in chamber every other round and tapping out with a cleaning rod. Got flattened primers on one of my reloads, factory ammo primers look okay.

Brass looks odd as hell. textured about 9/10 of the way down the case, rims deformed by extractor where it tried to extract, and there is a deep circumferential depression just below the shoulder.

I'm thinking the chamber is just way out of spec. Just wanted your thought before I draft an email to the manufacturer.

Looks like the chamber was cut with whatever life that reamer had left.
Personally, because I'm equipped to do so, I'd check headspace, first.
If need be, hand chucking a chamber reamer might clean it up.

Definitely looks like a chamber problem to me...

ETA:  I'll send you some headspace gauges if you send them back.

What brand barrel?

That frosty look on the brass is from a rough chamber.

I’d be looking for a replacement barrel..

Rough looking in more than one way.

How old is the barrel ?
What does factory loaded brass look like ?

Steel barrel is my guess.

Well most barrels are steel, but the brass doesn't go into the barrel, so I'm not sure what difference it would make on the brass.

Polish the chamber.

Hand drill some shotgun swabs and metal polish compound to cut and smooth. You'll drain a few batteries but probably saveable

That chamber is fucked!

That ring at the shoulder of the case is caused by a chip caught in the reamer.

Only solution is a new barrel.

Had one like that from Stag Arms.

Sent in 3 fired cases with the rifle.

They replaced it immediately no questions asked.

Curious who made it. That’s bad. REALLY bad.

Whatever QA department allowed that barrel out of their factory should be relegated to cleaning toilets in a nursing home. That's clearly a bad chamber. I'd definitely return it. A solid company will make good on their mistake.

I would highly recommend that you do not shoot it anymore, as you could have it blow up.  There are many possibilities of what is going on, anything from headspace too tight, burr on the reamer that miss cut things, rough chamber, chamber offset to the bore, etc.  The best action would be to not mess with it, and get it back into the manufacturers hands and let them deal with it.  I would not recommend trying to polish or alter anything, as if you do then you have altered it, which it then is not the manufacturers issue.

What he said.   ^^^^

In a nutshell, the barrel is defective.  Let the manufacturer make it good.  Instead of you working on it trying to make it acceptable.  You have better things to do.

The chamber is FUBAR'd.

Do not shoot that rifle again.

I have no idea what is happening close to your neck shoulder junction.

If you had a bore scope, a lot would be revealed.

I am guessing you bought an "economy" barrel.....

Contact the manufacturer and send it their way. Virtually every company has great customer service in the internet age. Cheaters get weeded out pretty fast.
