So I am stuck on 11.5 vs 12.5.

All parts ordered besides barrel and handguard.

Will be using a SF 3 prong until the RC2 is out of jail. After that, dedicated suppressed.

Pros cons besides that extra length. Anyone have any specs on overall with RC2 of 11.5 vs 12.5?

It most likely won't make a difference.  I'd go with the 12.5...might as well get a pinch of extra velocity and dwell time.

I run a 12.5 on one of my SBR's, but that is because I run an old legacy Surefire suppressor on that gun, which has an adapter that requires 2.5" of barrel overlap so I am stuck with 12.5.

I can't tell any difference between a 12.5 or an 11.5.

Have both, get the 12.5 with an 11.5" rail (MI, SLR, FCD). you get increased velocity with basically no downside. its still small with the stock collapsed, and even better with a law folder. Only reason why I still have the 11.5 is because its a KAC and ill never sell anything KAC.

Yeah I am going with a Midwest Industries Combat 10.5 or 11.5 depending on which barrel length I end up going with. I was planning to get a BA Hanson barrel in the Hanson profile but cant seem to find much for barrels in stock. Any recommendations?

Unless for a Bag, Plane, or Boat - I'd go 12.x"

Check righttobear.com. I just got my 12.3 Hanson from them a couple weeks ago. Use promo 1776 through today too.

In practical terms, you probably won't notice much difference between the two.  I say it depends on what else you have already.  If your next smallest AR is a 16", I'd say go 12.5" for a little extra velocity.  If you have a 14.5", then your 12.5" is getting pretty close in size to that, and I'd go 11.5" for a little more portability.   I've settled on 11.5" CQB, 14.7" Recce and 18" SPR for my 5.56 ARs, and it covers the bases pretty well.  If I wanted anything shorter than 11.5", I'd consider .300 BLK.

I'm in the other camp... Since you are going to be hanging a suppressor off of her and all in likelihood you are effectively going to make it longer than a standard 16" barrel... going 12.5 is great running one sans a can. With a can you are looking at an 18-20 barreled rig. I'd go 10.3" or 10.5" to keep her as light and wielding as possible while still keeping in the realm of a rifle velocity firearm. ... but that is just me! As always... YMMV.

Looks like we are sharing the same tent.  100% agree.  Another 60 - 70 fps one way or the other isn't going to be a big deal in a CQB weapon, that will still be effective to 250+
