Might be the dumbest question you read all week.

I’m looking for a 30 caliber, 5/8 x 24 threaded A2 style flash hider.

The kicker is, I need the external dimensions to be exactly like a 556 A2 flash hider.

Tighter tolerances the better.

I would like to index a compatible suppressor off it.  Of course I’d check and recheck with alignment rods.  I’d machine time it or shim it.

I've used a couple of the radical firearms ones that are cheap on primary arms.  I haven't measured the OD but they look just like a typical A2.  Just don't try to use the crush washer that comes with it.  Way too thin, gives less than half a turn of crush.

LMT.

There are several others that are close, but the grooves for holding the blank adaptor or flash can are not deep enough.

That is exactly my issue with the ones I already bought.

LMT good to go (as they are for just about everything else)?

Where you buying them from?  LMT directly?

Their shipping charges rival Spikes shipping charges.

There is a reason for that.

On the M16A2/M4 compensator the diameter of the bottom of the grooves is 0.63 +0/-.02"

The .30 versions are threaded with a 5/8-24 thread.

See the problem?

I also see there is a solution, as I have been informed.

Edit.  I’ve ordered it, waiting.
