I have a few of the USGI 30 round mag carriers that hold 6 thirty-round USGI mags.  I'm looking for something that will hold some spare 20 round USGI mags, something I can grab and go if need be.  Can anyone point me towards something that will work?  Thanks in advance!

Possibly the shorty version of the Esstac mag pouch.

The BFG Ten-Speed pouches are a little shorter and the elastic holds the 20s really well from my limited use with Surefeed and Lancer 20s.

They have a bandolier that might work:

Standard GI cotton bandolier.  Grab and go anywhere.

The british 5.56 bandoleers might work too, they are a little heavier than the US ones and have snap closures on each pouch.

Vietnam era 4 mag pouches work for me. They have ALICE clips.

In my mis-spent youth as a Marine grunt in VN '68-'69, a 3 tour, one enlistment grunt showed me a way to lighten my load if we were OK'd to drop our gear, take a break but still stay ready to fight.

In the empty 7 pocket bandoleer he put 4-20 rd. magazines, two M26 frags, and two battle dressings in the final pocket.  You could walk away from your gear but still had ability to carry on the fight while getting back to your gear and fighting hole.  My son in law used this set up in Afghanistan with the 7 pocket bandoleers and 20 rd magazines I gave him prior to deployment.  Minus the frags, the method still applies.  Good luck to all.

The more modern ones are a little deep for 20 rounders when the expansion string is pulled out.

I use this STRIKE HARD GEAR MOLLE POUCH FOR SMALL MAGAZINES AND CLIPS.  Mine is setup with one pouch as a small blowout kit, one pouch with 2x 20 round magazines and the last pouch with 3 G17 mags with +2 baseplates.  It pretty much lives in my Jeep and only comes out for off the cuff range visits where I'll pull it out and use it for some drills.  It's not made in the US if you care about that.  But it's cheap and gets the job done.

It's pictured in this post here.

M1967 (aka M67) mag pouches are what you seek:

You might be able to find them cheaper in your local surplus store or on eBay.
