"small time dealer cost" is about 1060.     that should give you a good idea if your getting a fair price or at least what you think is fair.....

Yep, that sounds about right.  It also sounds like the LEO price from a major Colt dealer that was mentioned previously in this thread.

Besides SAW, who else stocks and will sell to non-LEO a LE6921?????

As SAW is listing and quoting (via email) $1695.00 for a LE6921.  I know, Iknow you can get others cheaper, but I want a Colt Factory SBR.

Thanks

knesek guns lists them on his site for $1395, but who knows if he has any.  You might e-mail him and ask.

$1179 in stock

I just got off the phone with Clyde Armory and they're also out of 6920's.  The salesman said they've had some on order for a few weeks but can't be sure when they'll have them in stock again.

you can either look and look and look and look and try to beat Clyde's price of 1179, and in the meantime waste hours and hours, or you can suck it up and buy from a reputable dealer that consistently has one of the best prices around and who has been consistently selling ARs and not feeding a single line of bullshit about availability, colt's new policies and the like, and use the time you saved messing around trying to beat a fair price and do some yardwork or work some overtime and break even in teh end with the guy who surfed and surfed and surfed to save $50.

I talked to Larry. He still is expecting some 6920's any day. He says Colt just has not shipped any lately. He said he did receive a shipment of 6520's last week. He was in the process of decking out some 6921's for a PD. I didn't ask if he had some in stock to sell or not.

A friend of mine paid $1020 about a month ago at a gunshow, from Bachman's Gun & Pawn. Pretty sweet, no?

Good to know Larry is expecting a shipment of 6920s as I have had one on order since mid Sep. Though with the volume he does my rifle may not be in that shipment.

I faxed in my order on August 18.  I talked to Larry at the Tulsa Gun Show in October and he told me he expected a shipment at any time.  Still no word.

Go to the Sportsmans Center on any military post and get them for 950.  Ft. Huachuca seems to get them regularly.

have some patience, and a good eye.  I just pickedup a LNIB 6920 w/ a KAC RAS, LMT BUIS, Ergo Grip AND magpul TG for $900 out the door.  Probably the best purchase I've run into considering the $400 in extra stuff.  Many of last year's buyers are looking for cash this time of year....

I just ordered mine from WebArms.
$1190 shipped.
Their salesguy, Bill, says they get them in every 1 1/2 weeks. I mailed them my FFL info today.
So far, they seem very responsive to e-mails and returning calls.

Also, check out gunsamerica, and gunbroker.
I exchanged a few e-mails with this guy, from gunsamerica. He's asking $1100 for an unfired, NIB LE 6920. I landed up going with Webarms since they're an established business, shipping is included, and I can put it on my credit card.

BTW, I also spoke with Clyde Armory and Knesek, and both are out of 6920s and to me, seemed more unsure about when they'd get some (compared to WebArms).

That I'm not sure of. If so, maybe the low overhead keeps the price down... If you look at their website though, it must be a nice-sized garage. Bill says they also do some manufacturing there.

Any way, I opted to go with webarms because 1) price is right, 2) their responsiveness so far has been excellent and others on this board have dealt successfully with them, 3) No one else mentioned in this thread has (or can say when they'll get) new 6920s and 4) the guns I found on the auction sites are either priced too high, or I'd be buying from an individual (with zero established business creds), sight unseen.

Plus, I put it on my CC, so if there are any issues (which really I doubt), I have recourse to contest/refuse payment.

I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks...

Mazeman,
Rest assured that you won't have any problems with Bill at Webarms. He is a true gentleman and great to do buisness with. I purchased a 6920 drom him and it came in faster than I thought it would. Brand new in the box and looked great. Also if your one of my fellow leo brothers he may be the best deal going .

Internet e-lies or confirmed with your own eyes?  I spoke with them for 30 minutes and they offer way more services than a garage operated outfit could provide.   I will let you know in a coule weeks when I am suposed to get my new rifle.  Until someone has seen it with their own eyes I call BS on a garage in Pasadena.

I asked Bachman at the Mesquite Resistol gun show why they didnt have any there. They said they have been out for months. Didnt know whene they would get more in. Due to mil contracts.

I thought to my self I would have herd that on ARF. If it were true.

So are these companies, such as SAW, ordering direct from Colt, or are they getting them from a distributor?

Spoke with Bill from Webarms today.  He gets back to you fast.

He said  they are out of stock and won't get any till after January.  I put my order in last week and so I just cancelled.

If anyone knows a place that has them in stock for $1200 or less, please post.

1,040.00.  Larry is truly an honest man.

Yes.

Probably paid a premium (and still expect to make a profit?).

I think lots of these small table top guys (no knock) have marginal business skills and are pushed by the same fear and greed that drive other markets.

In a way I'm glad, because their passion for these commodities adds additional liquidity.  In other words,  If many of these folks did it for money alone we wouldn't have as many choices and I wouldn't have nearly as much fun.

Still overpriced, though.  I can see up to $1400 for a 6920 right now, top of the market, but prices are down, more like $1100-1200.

Regards,

Rick

I put my order in with Clyde armory in the middle of November and they said that they should be getting an order in around mid Dec. As stated before, 1179.00 out the door. When I placed my order I was number 8 on the wait list and they said that they normally receive decent sized deliveries. I will say, since this is going to be my first AR, I am tired of waiting already and if that sucker isn’t in by the end of the year then I am pulling chocks and going with LMT. Sad, since I save  the extra money for the Colt, but I am ready to put some lead down range.
