STAG!!!!

I like the story behind the Stag.

What would that be?

I would like to hear that too.

And I do like the Stag logo.  I do not know why people complain about it, it is not like someone is going to laugh at you.

Could be completely wrong here, but I thought "the story" had something to do with old German hunting traditions - yet with the AR, hunting a different animal, as it were.

Regardless ... I rarely, if ever, give a flip about the "looks" aspect of most things "AR" (it either works really well or it doesn't - looks are essentially irrelevant)  however, in this instance I would be interested in getting the skinny on the real-deal story behing Stag's logo - if there actually is one.

The stag in mythology and stories goes back thousands of years.  The stag has always stood for and was the symbol of the hunter since in Greek mythology the huntress Artemis was represented by the stag.  Stags can live upwards of 100 years.  A stag in norse mythology stands atop valhalla.  I could go on and on.

In family crests the stag represents one who will not fight unless provoked.

I love anything with meaning behind it.

I like my LMT lower. A clean simple design that doesn't look too busy. The Colt is obviously a classic look. I also like the billet Larue lower. REAL nice.

When is somebody gonna post up a picture of the left side of this lower? The side that traditionally has the rollmark? Everything I'm seeing is of the right side.

I do like that one, just something about having an AR15 that is actually marked "Colt AR15" is pretty cool. I like some of the other ones posted in this thread as well but still, one of my favorite lowers are RRA's. Before RRA started their MAP pricing crap, I think they were the best dealing going between price, quality, fit and appearence...

ROFL.  I just noticed something.  LaRue put their giant friggin oversized logo on the side of the lower everyone takes pictures of instead of the standard place.  Smart move.

I've got a Mega and doublestar and I like the design on both. Most looks fine except stag. I just ordered a stag upper but their lowers look dumb I think. Whats evil about a deer?

I LIKE my Stag!!!. It may not be evil, but then niether am I (any more). My Stag just plain shoots, and it shoots every time as well. It is made well with attention to detail and the company is known for great service, and the lifetime warranty on complete guns is GREAT as well. By the way, it also shoots bullets into tiny little groups. I like it ALL!!. Call me a maverick or a rebel but why want to be different (like everyone else)....<><....:)

I own several Bushmasters but I have never liked the logo. First I don't like the ones with the bullpup in them. Second bushmasters don't have rattles.

The original Armalite's logo was a Pegasus.  The new Armalite has extremely little in common with the original Armalite besides the name.

Ok, I don't mine my roll mark so much anymore

Personally I like the MEGA and Spikes lowers for 'mainstream' priced lowers.  There was a killer thread on some of the custom stuff but I can't find it.
