When you all bought your RAS II's. What handguard pads came with it???

3 11 rib panels.  I also had the option to get the dark parts panels at no extra cost but opted for these instead

I love my RASII!  Thinking about selling my SIR #45!  Not that I don't like it..I just don't like it as much.  It has a rifle to call home but I am thinking about going down the FF MRE with that one!

I'm still interested in the earlier question about whether or not the ARMS 40 and EOTech 511/551 will fit behind the "hump"?

Also, is it the RIS that is FF without the hump?  Does it require removal of the front sight tower?

No need to remove the front sight tower for installing a RASII.  I just picked one up from Wes, along with a Dieter CQD grip and it is a sweet setup!

Installing the RASII should take about 10 minutes or less.

Where's the best place to buy an RAS II?

PPD, No, the Eotech and any back up iron sight will not fit behind the hump of the RAS II.
The KAC Free Float RAS does require the front sight, and hence the Flash suppressor/muzzle brake, be removed in order to install. Thanks.....Chad

Thanks for the info.  I guess the FF RAS is out too since I have a Bushy 14.5" barreled upper with permanent Phantom FH.  Looks like a new upper is in order ;)

Hello My AR15 Brothers!!

I have now purchased a RAS II, after much shopping.
I want you all to know just how excellent the service from Grant @ http://gandrtactical.tripod.com was.
He was great. Answered all my questions quickly, and completely. He beat everybody's price, and was glad to do it.

I highly recommend him.

FREEFALLE6,
I was wondering did you paint the rail covers' on your RAS or were they made in tan? From the picture, I can't tell if they are Knights or not. I would also like to Thank you, and everyone else who went for what you guys did across the pond.         Thanks Gene

Ok, an EOTech 511 (n battery) and an ARMS 40 won't fit behind the hump on the RAS II, is that correct?

Correct QuitShootr. No BUIS will fit with any Eotech behind the hump of the RAS II.
Thanks.....Chad

edited to add: are you POSITIVE?  the short EOTech is 4", and unless my bionic-eye-measuring device is all fvcked up, that looks like enough room to me.

Positive, tried it, once you get it on there, it will not fit. It's probably 1/8 or 1/4 too much. By all means though, give it a try. Thanks Chad.....

Congrats on your purchase, but that's a RAS, not a RAS II.
