Them are sweet. Any chance the safe/fire symbols won't be painted?

Delete the "forward grip area" and I'm in pending price.  Looks really good.

Very nice.

It's a good thing that I havn't bought the lower for my SPR project, I will definately get one when it becomes available.

I would suggest to have the right side of the magwell blank for custom engraving.

That makes a TON of sense...

Rich could charge an arm, a leg and a left nut and he'd still sell more than he can make at one time.

Those with a sense of history will remember the last time ARFCOM put Rich and Magpul through HELL.

I wouldn't ask them to do it again.

I'll take two, charge my card and I'll find out what they cost later on...

If they're affordable, I'll take three.  If they're expensive... I'll take two :)

I posted these pics in response to a question on another thread. Rather than hijack that thread I am reposting the pics here for anyone to comment.

We were going to show these on some of the Demo guns at Shot in January but decided to show some pics now.

The idea started out by us thinking about having our own logo lowers but then we thought we could do something a little different.

Pretty similer to other billet lowers with the exception of the intergal trigger guard, finger shelf, and guard for using the Ambi catch. It also has forward grip area and flaired mag well.

We are not really set up to produce large numbers of these so we are unsure if they will make it out to the public.

So how many people would it take for you to make a production run of these?

NOW THIS is something worth getting excited about. It has, IMO, real improvements to the "standard" lower. I love the trigger guard as all of my AR's have MIAD grips with the improved trigger guard. Love the flared magwell. Love the figure rest idea. If you can sell these for $150 retail (like Sun Devil), I'm in for at least five of them.

Built it...for they have already come.

Rich,

Just four questions:

1) 7075-T6 grade aluminum?

2) if you're not set up for large scalre machining operations, then how about contracting it out to someone like POF or LaRue Tactical?

3) is it possible for the magazine well to be flared more?

4) when these hit the market, will they be available without the auto selector marking?  This can result in a lot of unnecessary headache.

Thanks Rich.

Best Regards,

Justin

PLEASE make them. I think the selector markings are perfect. The HK ones stick out like a sore thumb, but yours are clear enough with out looking gaudy.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to change my pants.

At least they are creatively different

There are dozens of lowers out there, 99% of them essentially the same part

flared magwell

Integral triggerguard

grip front of magwell

I'd say build it.

Thanks Rich.

Why not leave the trigger guard standard, so people can choose what trigger guard they want to use?  I like the stock flat trigger guard just fine with gloves, it'd be nice to be able to change it out (or leave it alone), but with a fixed trigger guard that option is gone

I completely disagree. The integral trigger guard is what sets this lower apart from everything else out there. It's really quite an evolutionary design incorporating a finger shelf (a really cool feature), beveled mag well, along with the provision for the ambi mag catch. Personally, I like the front of the mag well but I'm no fan of pictograms; you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I hope Magpul will bring these to market. I understand not wanting to compromise quality and I certainly respect that, but it's not nice to tease!

Heck, I'd put in a semi-auto selector that rotates all the way to FA just for that OH SHIT factor when I hand it to a friend.
