went to a funshow today and found these.......      The upper has an A2 door on it, so that's gotta go, but I think this is the upper I'll need down the road for a xm177, correct?   The mags are circle 1's, well, at least one is. One has the circle but doesn't have a 1 in it. What's up with that?   Found another circle 1, but it was residing in the magwell of a 1977 sp1. The guy didn't know what the mag was, and got curious when I asked if he wanted to sell just the mag, and I'd give him another .223 marked mag.  Speaking of .223 marked Colt mags, there were about 30 of them at a couple different tables. Are they particularly hard to come by?

Not too hard, but sometimes gunshow sellers like to pretend they are. Depends on your area.

Post pics of your favorite 3 combo, 1 rifle/carbine, 1 handgun , 1 shotgun, and if you feel the need to post an old knife go for it! as old as ( muskets ) or as new as the early 80's ( c7 carbine/rifle ).

Nice picture, I could do the exact same only with a 20" SP1 instead of the carbine.

Have you shot your WW1 repro? I have one of the early carbonia blued ones to go with my 1914 USGI, but I've never shot it. I also have one of the WWII repros to go with my 1945 Remington Rand.

Refresh me on 03's.  I know they are different but which years are which?  Top to bottom.

Any special mfgs? Extra rivet was early and peep was late correct?

You guessed it, was out having dinner
Guess we are becoming an old predictable couple
Top: Remington O3A4 is dated 1943 with a bbl from 12-43. And yes she's original right down to the scope rings
Middle: Smith Corona O3-A3 dated 1943 everything but the bbl is original here. She was a drill rifle that has been resurrected.
Bottom: Springield 1903 dated 1908 with a bbl dated 04-08 (Farmboy doesn't know the collection as well as he thinks ) Again resurrected drill rifle that has been gone over and made all correct. Right down to the sight hood.
Anything else I can answer for you?

It's Friday, so here's a bump.

This is my last Retro 603 build and the reason why I haven't had a recent Retro AR build.    Just assembled it today, it's a CMP kit along with the build your own kit from Fulton Armory:
