While it isn't a military accessory, it does fit in with the M16A1 collectable accessories.

Old gun magazines with articles about the M16.

This one was written in March 1968 and discusses weather or not the M16 will get scrapped.  It is kind of a funny read 42 years later with the M16 still in service.

Any chance you could scan that article?

Yes sir, I'd be glad to.  I will bring a few magazines to work on Moday, since the scaner at work is much nicer than mine.

I have this artical, one about "The Guns of Vietnam", and "The M60 Machine Gun".  I will get a few of the old gun ads too.

LC-1 30 round magazine pouch - I have one original with the flaps on it.

7 pocket bandoleer(s) - picked up two of them at my local surplus shop

Cleaning kit with the Alice pouch (case, maintenance equipment) - Yes, but i have to get the old pouch in OD.

Added "Ammo Can, 840 round, Marked "M193" to the list. (thanks to those great pics in 44Echo10's thread).

Don't forget ammo can 820 rounds in cartons. 840 is in bandoleers. It has taken me several years of scrounging gunshow ammo cans to find 4 marked M193. I wonder how many I've seen in the past when I didn't know any better?
