All M16A4's are burst

But apparently not all M16A2's were burst. Found and posted some pics of an M16A2 marked "auto". That surprised me.

Wow, me too. But it does not look like a military rifle either. I have never seen a full auto A2 in the military but I could be wrong. I bet that was a custom order of some kind.

I guess because it was stamped M16A2 I though it might be military but I suppose they sold them to LE, foreign nations and even civvies before 1986.

I have not seen a weapon yet in the military without the Property Of... stamping on it.

ROFL!

Don't be! I need a pic. This is about receiver history not performance, I don't care if they work or not. (after all, we do have FAB10 receivers already posted).

Ohoh...

speaking of bandwidth, I may have to find a new home for the pics.
Photobucket just send me a warning...

Your photobucket account has exceeded 2000 Megabytes of bandwidth this month. In order to keep this site free and highly reliable to everyone, we cannot offer unlimited bandwidth. If you would like to donate or purchase additional bandwidth, please contact us. You can also limit your bandwidth by scaling down your picture size and limiting your direct linking. If your account exceeds 3000 Megabyes of bandwidth, direct linking will be disabled for the remainder of the month.

OK I found a new image hosting site that offers 4GB, unlimited bandwidth and hot-linking. The pics may disappear on this thread at some point but will reappear in another thread when I get them all uploaded to the new site, along with all your new pic submissions, categorized and captioned.

Edited to add: I have rescued to pics from photobucket as they were whining about bandwidth usage - I will post them all plus the new ones a new thread very soon.

Also, since the pics on P.1 aren't up, I can't check if this is another you have or not?

Perhaps www.imageshack.us would work?  You'd have to upload one at a time, which would be a pain, but they're really good at hosting individual photos.  And as long as people keep looking at them, they'll keep hosting them.

I'm goint to give www.myimagestation.com a try. They allow up to 4Gb of images, of up to 500KB each and with unlimited bandwidth. All free, with no tags or image add-ons. If they don;t work out, I will also look at your suggestion. Thanks!

Jason,

It's a TiN (Titanium Nitrate) DPMS trigger.  The only reason i got is the "bling" factor.  Pucked it up a few gun shows back from the DPMS rep.
