Hi everyone, i am new to AR15s, this will be my first build, which barrel manufacturers can you guys recommend me to go with, or from which should I stay away, I'm looking for something in 18/20 inches and $200-$320. Thank you in advance.
This is what I found so far:

-Satern-Liberty 20" 223 WYLDE HBAR PREBAN $250
-LaRue Tactical 18" 5.56(223 Wylde) Stealth Barrel $225
-Faxon Firearms 18"  .223 Wylde Match Series- Heavy Fluted $309

I would add AR15 Performance to that list

I love my Faxons.  No personal experience with the others.

I would strongly recommend you go with a shorter, lighter barrel, at least for your first AR. The greatest attributes of the AR15 platform are handiness and light weight. A heavy 18” or longer greatly diminishes the benefits of the AR15 platform.

Looks like a nice barrel, but it states on there website "We are not taking any new customers in California."

I have been happy with my White Oak, and Faxon Gunner in 18" rifle gas.  There have been some impressive groups out of the Larue barrels.

Best shooter I’ve had is a Larue-I really want to try a criterion or Douglas though.  Watch the EE here for deals!

For heavy barrels, White Oak or Wilson Arms (not Wilson Combat). Wilson is sold at JSE Surplus.

I have a couple, one that shoots just about anything well, even at longer ranges.

white oak armament is overlooked sometimes, I think they dont do as much advertising to appeal to the same groups, but seem to be quite popular with competition shooters.

most of theirs are in the $200-$300 range too
