I know matter of preference, any rigidity or fitment issue with the either one from PSA?

Thinking on picking up an AK for fun and like folders.

How's the folding mechanism you have? Seems to be a few complaints about them? Wondering on the Magpul Zhukov stock if aI get a standard AK and add it later on.

The absolute best an AK stock can be is a 100 series poly side folder. If you can, buy a rifle that has the folding hinge as the gentleman above did.

I would strongly recommend the solid side folder versus the metal triangle folder due to sheer comfort, but the triangle folder I believe is actually a little lighter.

If you don't mind paying an extra $60, you can get the triangle folder and a spare side folding stock. The hinge pin is relatively easy to remove to swap side folding stocks.

As for the fitment, I now have about a dozen PSA side folders (I went kinda nuts filling out the historical clone set: AKMN, AKMSN, AK-74, AK-74N, AKS-74N, AK-74M and the 100 series), and if anything, I have found them to be consistently tighter than the standard folding stock, particularly when using a JMAC adapter. The non-JMACs are not as tight to fold and unfold, but they seem to lock up very solidly.

Pretty much this, right here.

I've been on a quest for an adjustable LOP stock, that would still fold, and lock in the folded position for my beater PSA -74..  The only workable solution so far has been a SIG MCX stock, on a J-MAC 4.5 pic rail mount.  It's not really a good solution, but it might work better on a shorter barreled rifle.

Maybe I'll give one of the airsoft Zenito clones a try.

He said the premium side folder (assuming that means the CHF 103.)

I’ve got serial number 126 of the premium 103. It’s absolutely phenomenal For what you pay. An absolutely accurate rifle as well. Compared to my old slr107fr it’s a solid gun. PSA has certainly been killing the AK game.

I put a Russian RPK rear sight leaf on mine. A worthwhile upgrade if you can pick one up.

cool, How is the front sight positioned for zero? Much drift or are they fairly straight with no cant?

Hey, does PSA make the stock with the trap door for the cleaning kit? (on this model)

I have the 100 series on my psa104 sbr. Fits great and it’s comfortable. I do like the look of the triangle folders a little better than the 100 series but I’m saving that for the krink I plan to have at some point. I would only use the Zhukov if my trunion wasn’t set up for a folder and I didn’t want to invest in the work to change it, luckily PSA has had the foresight to put trunion and latch in models that would need it to make a sbr.

I'm having a hard time finding an authentic Romanian triangle side folder for my AK-74 CUR-2. I can find the single wire folders but need help finding the other. It's for this rifle.

There are no authentic Romanian triangle stocks. The Romanians, Poles, and East German pooled their engineers and developed the wire side folder that they all produced subtle variants of it for their own use.

If you want a Bulgarian/Russian triangle style, you need to modify the receiver and rivet in a new trunion.

I converted a Saiga 12 to a side folder. Due to the different latch design, a standard folder needs to be dremeled to work, and I could use a US made stock for 922r compliance with foreign mags. How does the PSA stock compare to the Arsenal? It is much cheaper, which makes me feel way less bad about WECSOGing it. Do the polymer stocks absorb recoil better than the triangle stocks? Because turkey loads are pretty brutal with the triangle side folder. While I don't find it unpleasant, many of my friends were crying about the recoil of Walmart birdshot too.
