The NP variant has a mag well that allows it to use regular AR-15 mags - the NPs are tough to find reasonably priced, and the soon to be available ZPAP85 has its’ own AK mags that handle 5.56/.223 - any other reasonably priced AK options in 5.56? Thanks!

Whats "reasonable" to you? Saiga NIB sporters running $650. Vepr NIB sporters $850. Various Arsenal 106 models from pistols to folding krinks to full size rifles with folders ranging between $1100-1500. I saw a draco .223 pistol on the akfiles marketplace yesterday around $700. Galil ACE pistol and rifle starting around $1350. Hopefully in the next few months, the PSA rifle and pistol that takes AR mags.

Not looking for a rifle - looking for an AK pistol that uses 5.56 \ .223 rounds, something like the Zastava PAP M85 NP (PAP M85 NP), AND regular AR-15 magazines, cause the Zastava magazines for their M85 PAP (without the magwell adapter) are much more expensive than AR-15 mags and specific to the M85 PAP.

What was it that you mentioned that's gonna be available in the next few months from PSA?

Yes, the PSA one will accept AR mags. I think they're planning to release rifle first and pistol some time later. The Galil ACE also accepts AR mags and is already available in pistol format with a 8" barrel.
There are also aftermarket magwell adapters. You can retrofit pretty much every .223 AK to accept AR mags. Doing this, you can end up with an Arsenal 106ur pistol with AR magwell.

The zastava paps you already found use a plastic magwell. The PSA and aftermarket ones are aluminum. The PSA one and some of the aftermarket options have LRBHO. The galil ace is polymer lower and has LRBHO.

PSA 5.56 is after the 5.45 variant per Josiah at PSA.

5.45 is to launch on the website before / during SHOT.

Zastava Arms USA mentioned that they do not plan on offering the ZPAP 85 Pistol with the mag well adapter at this time . There are quite a few mag options that work like the FB Radom Berly mags and other .556 Arsenal mags . We also found a few AK74 mags that worked with no modification .
