AK noob here.

Bought this gun used from someone in NJ so it was made NJ-Compliant with a pinned stock.

But, this rifle doesn't seem to have the side-folder release button I was expecting to see versus the other same models I see on the interwebs.  But I do have the 4.5mm hinge pin.

It's definitely an SLR-107CR as it's stamped on the receiver.

I was looking to unpin the stock and restore it as a side folder but I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

Any ideas?

That is the left side folder trunion but they did not make the rest of the cuts / holes in the receiver to accommodate the folder mechanism -  probably because it would not be legal in NJ anyway to why bother.  I bet it doesnt have the cut out / rivit / spring up front to latch the folder when folded.  How is this gun actually marked?

That's how they made the ban models. As previously posted they just didn't bother with the take down button/mechanism.  I have an SLR 106FR ban model that's constructed the same way.

Thanks.  Yup, that's what my research turned up as well.  I didn't recall Arsenal making ban state models back then but guess they did.
