I’m not a fan of modern on AKs.
But rs regulate is by far the best choice in my opinion. https://rsregulate.com/product/gkr-10ms/ I think that ones what you’d be wanting |

Do you guys recommend a full length rail that replaces the top cover or just a small section that attaches off the rear sight?
I want to mount a red dot on the rifle. |

Sidemount all the way. RS-regulate is the best, although I have been using the master mount for some time and it seems solid as well.
No reason to buy any other sidemounts in my opinion. |

Looking at my ak it does have the scope mount system on the side of the receiver. I will look into the side optics mounts.
I need to find out which rail to get. I see one is a Sam 7 or 1.0mm stamped. |

Armacon has been knocking them off too. |
