Dont ask. And no it was not a crazy ex wife or anything. But someone smashed open a metal gun locker with a sledge hammer and then intentional went to town on my Yugo SKS. Yes they hammered on the rifle with the same mini sledge the used to smash apart a cheap "gun safe" type locker. Smashed the stock to pieces, hammed on the receiver, ripped the magazine off the rifle. You can see a few blows the receiver took. Also the stock is cracked all the way through on the other side to the but plate. It took a LOT of abuse. I had to straighten the "ears on the magazine with pliers but was able to wedge it back in there. Just for the hell of it dropped two rounds in as you see it and it still functioned feeding the both rounds just as it should!

I just ordered another Yugo stock but need to find a new magazine. Are any of the aftermarket 10 or 20 rounders 100% GTG?

That sure looks like a Chinese SKS to me, not a Yugo. I gotta hear the back story on this one.

Nope its a Yugo. I had just done a lot of work to make it smaller, lighter and handier to fit my needs as a smaller lighter rifle. I had removed all the bayonet, grenade launcher and sight. Shortened and recrowned the barrel in a lathe. Reshaped and refinished the stock to give it a much slimmer shape and feel. It was a lot of work but a fun project. It was when the Yugo SKS were a dime dozen. I got one unfired with all matching everything and then this one was missing the accessories and much cheaper. Bought it as a project.

OP, Apex is selling Yugo SKS mags but for some reason they've have the BHO tab removed. They're a tad pricey at 45 bucks but that seems to be the going rate. Seems like you could replace that part from your old and busted mag.
