I acquired a saiga 308 a while back and the previous owner cut the rear trunion to put a ace folding stock on it.  My question is are there any differences between the 308 trunion and a standard one so I can replace it with a new one.  the end goal is to put a standard ak stock on the rifle.

Standard rear trunnion should work fine.

The trunnion may need to be thinned in order to fit a thicker 1.6mm receiver. Not sure if the non-bulged front trunnion models are standard 1mm receiver thickness or not.

I will check that, I can surface grind a little off of each side of the trunion
