Use an Ultimak rail and mount the red dot to it. You will still be able to use the irons if the red dot craps out.

RS regulate or MI industries sidemount with micro or tube dot as you prefer.
Then can just pop it on or off as needed |

I had a Sig Romeo 5 on an Attero mount when I had my SLR-106. It has a built in rear iron that is like a lower 1/5th cowitness. It was probably my favorite optic setup on all AK's I've had. If I still had it is probably have an H-2 or T-2 on it, but same mount.

I'd at least look into the Ultimak and Sureshot rails before dumping the rear sight. Unless you plan to remove the FSB, you might as well keep it usable. RS regulate also makes a side rail system.

The Attero optic mount really is a fantastic mount. I have used there rmr and micro versions and have been pleased.
