Are standard AK47 recoil springs good to go on the typical Galil build?

I was considering putting an extra power Wolff recoil spring in the thing to try to keep the brass from flying into the next zip code when firing it,
as so many of them do.

I put an AK spring in my ARM and it works great

Was it at all effective in reducing the distance that the weapon slings brass out into the distance?
