Hi All,

I have a Romanian kit that I would like to build with a receiver having a matching serial number. The trunnion has a year then two letters followed by four numbers (e.g. 1971 ES2112).  My question: what is the proper serial number to engrave on the receiver? Is the year part of the serial number? Thanks!

ES2112. The year is not part of the serial number.

If your putting a serial number on it you get to choose the number.

Be creative, not just AK-47762x39.

Receivers with a numbered trunion don't usually have the number repeated on the sheet metal.
