I didn’t think to pull the muzzle device off during the pre transfer inspection so I completely missed this. When I got home, I wanted to test suppressor/tri lug figment and noticed that the shoulder of the barrel is smashed on the edge.

What’s up with this? I am waiting to hear from KUSA but in the meantime, I wanted to get your opinions on whether or not this will affect alignment and if your Kp9s exhibit this from install.

It’s looks like ass but I think there’s enough flat to properly seat the can.

Can you mount it and check for wiggle?

No wiggle, and seems to pass the visual inspection for lining up.

I’m going to check it with a alignment rod at the shop today.

Should I try to get KUSA to fix this or just deal with it?

I’d have them fix it.

I reached out to Atlantic Firearms first. Sounds like they are at least going to help coordinate this.

I won’t know until Monday what we are going to do.
