I picked up a used but excellent condition SAR1 for a great price. I need to get a muzzle device of some kind on it.
I kind of want the Arsenal 24x1.5 brake but I’d have to do an adapter AFTER threading it to 14x1? LH threads? Is it worth it? What else should I look at upgrading on this thing? |

I would go with the standard 14x1 LH and add the detent pin and spring. This will give you the most options.
That’s what I did with my SAR-1. |

Yeah, stick with the 14x1mm. It's what the AKM was made for.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? I had one about 20 years ago pain $299 for it. Wondering what they go for today. I ended up selling mine for $400 after having it for a year. Stayed with AR 's.

FWIW I just sold one with finish wear but like new internally for $700 shipped.
