I'm new to PSL rifles so please pardon the "noob" question.

Does anyone know why the stocks listed as PSL have a slimmer palm swell versus stocks listed as "ROMAK"? I thought
PSL and ROMAK were the same rifle?

For Reference:

PSLrear stock:

ROMAK rear stock:

Also, I see the cut in the front of the stock that accepts the rear of the receiver is much deeper into the palm grip.
Are they not interchangeable?

Thanks!

Romak is a standard AKM and the PSL is a stretch AK that is made to handle 7.62X54R. The cut is longer on the Romak because the AK receiver sticks back further than the PSL because the PSL has a scallop cut out. The Romak stock will fit on the PSL. The PSL stock would need to be cut back further to allow the receiver to sit deeper. The palm swell is deeper to keep the stock and pistol grip together and to resist cracking the thin laminate.
