Hello I have a Chinese SKS it from what I can tell is a D model.  It came  with a receiver cover that mounts scopes kind of mall ninja for me.  So I bought what I was told was a Chinese receiver cover which later after I received it found out it was Yugoslavian.  I tried getting it on the SKS it was super tight and difficult to get on also the action wouldn't work when I did get it on.  I read on a different forum that It should work with some trimming however I don't trust that forum nearly as much as this one.  I was wondering if someone could tell me how difficult this is as I would rather not destroy the receiver cover and just sell the cover.

If it's a high end receiver cover with a scope mount attached, it's a $20 item.  Look online for a standard Chinese receiver cover and throw that shit in the trash.

Yugos are the same as Chinese except for the little radius at the front is sometimes sharper on the Yugos. That's probably why you can't push it forward enough to fit properly.
