Well, I traded off a CETME L hombuild with a few issues that was collecting dust for this project today.

It's a bit rough, it's been used pretty good. Guy had put a new hammer and spring in it, and looks like a tapco retaining plate. Some one put all this plastic junk on it, and this horrid Ultimax gas tube. That shit is going in the trash, probably sell that gas tube, and some proper wood furniture going on it. Not sure if I may put NHM handguards, or just go all out and buy a RPK stock set and modify it to work.

Front site looks to be canted slightly, as the windage is moved a bit off center on front site, but, it's not too bad, and i can deal with that in a AK.

So I'm gonna work on stripping this honey down, cleaning and thinking about where to go next...

So folks what should I do, put chinese NHM 91 handguards on it, and try to find a RPK butt to match, or just buy a new set of RPK furniture, and make it fit??

Oh, BTW, a standard AKM gas tube will work right??





Also, this is a 14x1 LH thread muzzle right?? Tried to move the detent, but it is stuck there.  Might get a adapter and put my Griffin silencer one it, that would be wild

I didnt it had already been removed.  I did remove the detent though.  Had to drive out front site pin, then drill detent and pull it out.  Will replace with functional detent.

Need an AK-47, not an AKM tube.

It has Russian RPK furniture  on it now, and looks great.  I have replaced the top cover in the pics with a new chinese one.
