I have my eye on a Arsenal SA M-7 Carbine.  This particular rifle has the pinned on SLR-95/AK-350  Compensator, no bayonet lug, and no scope rail.  I wanted to change out the front sight block that has a bayonet lug and a newer type AK74 style muzzle brake. Can this be done legally on this particular model AK that Arsenal made?

Yeah, I believe if you change it to an "evil" configuration you have to make sure its 922r compliant.

I'd leave it alone and get a cheaper one to toy around with, the older SA M-7 guns are hard to come by now.

They were made during the ban. I had one then, & it already had the required amount of US parts. It came from the factory with no muzzle attachment. GARY
