Micro Galil Parts kit work on a std Receiver?

I'm thinking of making a short Galil - I don't really care for the Micro stock assembly vs standard style or using the dust cover or making an authentic replica.

It seems as if a standard Galil receiver would work except the cuts for the handguard, stock

Are there any other significant differences?

No, not really. You can swap most of the parts between the two, or at least make them work with a little extra effort.
