Has anyone tried this. I know a couple of guys on YouTube accomplished it on the m85 and m92. One buy cutting on the retainer plate and the other buy removing the retainer and installing an aftermarket bolt on one from css. Will either of these options work on an npap? I don't have the npap yet, but it appears to have the same shape retainer needed for the Magpul handguard, so I am wondering if it is an overall length issue. Otherwise, I think it could be done with dremel, but I can't find any webidence to support this theory. I would have thought somebody would have tried it by now. Anybody have idea? I'm talking about the moe. I know the Zhukov is possible, just can't stand the look or price.
Thanks for any replies.

EDIT: I thought you meant the grip at first.

I'm waiting for Magpul to release the Yugo handguard....it's been a long wait

Thanks. I have heard that Magpul intends/intended to release Yugo handguards at some point. Maybe they are just trying to preserve that slice of the market due to pap pistol compatability by say "will not fit yugos". Who knows.

Thanks a bunch.

I have not tried it, but I believe it's simply a length issue. A bolt-on HG retainer could work, with modification. The upper handguard would be more problematic, assuming you're intending to use the Magpul upper HG and not the original Yugo HG or a railed gas tube like the ultimak.

I'm still in the process.

I think I'm almost done. I have the rear end / reciver part done. Working on securing the front part this weekend.
