Thanks! Saiga .223 converted with the help of Brian at Diznag. Now wearing magpul as you can see. RS Regulate 302 with micro mount and a Primary Arms micro. I've since added the enhanced buttpad so I can use the stock on the first click. It feels perfect now when I shoulder it. I also picked up an m-lok sling loop from magpul, but I shoot left handed and the sling mount interferes with the charging handle if I mount it where I want it. The folding stock also makes mounting a sling difficult when it needs to be on the right hand side of the rifle. I'm looking for a better option if anyone has any suggestions. The echo 93 plates look nice but would also interfere with the folding stock. |

The stock folds to the right side. Some sling plates might allow the stock to fold still, but not while using a sling. The best solution I've come up with so far is using my romy sling. I loop it through the sling loop in the buttstock and clip it to the magpul m-lok sling loop. However, I had to mount the m-lok mount backwards so it wouldn't interfere with the charging handle. It doesn't work so well because now the clip on the sling binds on the m-lok loop instead of moving freely. |

Nope, sorry, the yugo gas tube is a half inch longer than a standard tube, you can cut a yugo to work on an AKM but obviously not vice versa....I guess you could weld an extension to the tube and make it work. I imagine it wold be easy enough to mod the zhukov to work with the longer yugo handguard. |

Your Yugo will have a heavier barrel, so you'd have to mod the clamps to accommodate the larger diameter. |

Small opening but not enough to worry about. No cutting or filing required. Slide it in and screw it down. And I just put in the ALG AK trigger, and all I can say is HO LEE SHIT!!!! What a freakin sweet trigger. Only con is that it still has a bit of take-up but it breaks like a 3.5 lb CMC trigger. I will put the trigger gauge on it tomorrow and report back on the result. |

The rear sight was offered by ACE LTD probably 10 to 12 years ago and it completely replaces the rear AK sight and requires tapping the AK receiver. The sight itself houses an A2 drum and aperature and has a "see-through" channel machined into the 1913 rail so it co-witnesses with the ACE LTD front sight (pictured) which also house an AR15 front sight post. It is pretty neat considering it's age, however in my opinion the 1913 rail is too high for an RDS as it requires a chinweld to be functional. For this reason, I also have an ultimak rail which I have yet to install. I will say that the combo of sights work great as iron sights alone which is why I have held off on mounting the ultimak rail. I will take more photos shortly. Cheers |

Primary Arms has posted on their site the following- NOTE: Due to the wide range of tolerances of your typical AK, minor fitting of the stock may be required. Not compatible with Yugo pattern AK's or the Norinco Type 56S/MAK-90 due to differences in the trunnions tang.

I have one on my MAK-90. The receiver is a square cut and the only thing I had to do was some minor fitting with a dremel. The other thing I had to do was drill a hole where the trunnionsticks ino as the trunion was a little too long for the plastic pocket. Hard to explain, but once I did it, it fit perfect in there.
